In the News

This was in the news and here are my thoughts about it.

A dating service, similar to the Dr. Phil approved Matchmaker or whatever it's called, has a new take on matching people to their true loves. Oh, you'll go through your standard questionnaires so your not paired with any 'ol loser, but it's the final testing that stands this love bird service apart from the others.

This guy who claims to be a scientist says that the reason people fall for each other or even stay together is their smell. Yes, I said your smell. The odor you give off. Attractive huh?

This company will test your "major histocompatibility complex" and that will lead to your true love. In fact, this guy Eric Holze will predict a higher success rate. Predict. It's not like this company is boasting it's proven success rate...it's only predicting higher numbers of success so you will spend the money.

Speaking of money. You have $1,995? Ha.

Listen. If smell is a big deal to you in the dating process [which at times it should be], do this: go on a date. at the end of the night don't worry about a kiss or even a hug. When you say 'goodnight' go in and smell that person and see if you find that person repulsive. If you do, I might suggest that you don't call them the next day. And if it took you the entire date to figure that out, we have other problems.

LOL! I can tell you that I liked Mike's cologne when we were dating...but that wasn't my main reason for marrying him!!!
